Slime

 How to make Puffy Slime!

What you'll need:
                                                                      What I used:
  • Elmer's glue ( 9oz bottle)         [Walmart $2.97- clear]   [makes 2 batches]
  • Contact saline solution             [Walmart $2.96]
  • Shaving cream (gel formula)    [Walmart $1.97]
  • Food coloring (optional)          [Walmart $3.21 - gel 4 pack]
  • fine (optional)                          [Michaels $1- 4pack by studio G]
  • Storage container (optional)    [Michaels $2.97- 3 pack]
  • medium size bowl to mix in
  • A stirring utensil preferably a disposable plastic knife
  • Measuring spoons                                                                  Total: $15.08
prices may very from store to store

Obviously you don't have to get the last 3 items you can use the things you have available around your house. I making slime as gifts for my friends in the spirit of Christmas and holiday cheer. You can use Elmer's clear or white glue both work but I prefer the clear, I personally think it has a better elasticity and shine.

  1. Start by pouring half your glue into your bowl,
  2. Then add your food coloring if you want it. you'll only need 1 or 2 drops.
  3. Stir thoroughly then add 2 1/2 tbsp. of shaving cream, stir.
  4. Now add 2 table spoons of saline and mix until everything is fully incorporated.
  5. When the consistency becomes so that you are able to pick it up
  6. Now need it in your hands until it becomes the desired consistency.
  7. If the slime is too sticky add a little more saline, if the slime doesn't have enough elasticity add some more shaving cream.

             when done pack and play.

nonexistant november

Hey guys sorry November was supper crazy busy for me, and just kinda slipped through my fingers. but I'm back so yeah, the main reason I didn't have time was because I was apart of Nanowrimo for my first time and that practically took over my life last month completely.

For those of you who don't know what Nanowrimo is, its basically the acronym for: National Novel Writing Month, during this month you have a word of usually 50,000 words and the main object is write a novel in a month. I still counted for the youth division though for the first and last time, as I am getting very old and will exceed the age limit for the youth division next year.

Any who my words count was 20,000 words and I made it to my goal, however my story is only about 60% done.

In the mean time while I work on setting up stuff for the rest of December, please enjoy this photo of a camp fire I took back in October while on Lake Umbagog NH

Logo?

So this is just a little something I've been working on
and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I guess you
could call this my logo of some sort? but I spent 6 hours
sketching, re-sketching, drawing, and coloring to get what
I have now. I just wanted to share this because its a big step
for me in the direction I'm going.

Orange

That's right I've done it I've written a poem about the color orange

Orange

There is a word
A word with out friends
A word who has feelings
And believes the world may end
This word has a family but their all adopted
Color they have in common
But that's the only thing
There is word
Who worries about life
He fears the end with a great strife
There is None like him
And he is like no other
All of his family
They All rub it in
That he will never find
 Single a friend
Who will rhyme with him.
Forever alone just like me
The color orange a word he maybe
But forever he holds a place in my heart
The brave little guy always try's hard.

Ice cream boy

Warning no craft content in this post.

Bonjour, mon amies,
(Hello, my friends)

I'm feeling rather French today, but anyways its story time.

Once upon a time, in a land far, far, away...
        Nah I'm just kidding.

So several weekends ago my family, I and my best friend went camping. (Long story short) We went out for ice cream one day and the guy at the ice cream place was one of the hottest guys we(my best friend and I) ever seen his eyes are the iciest Blue eyes you'll ever see. We watched him he watched us and after the awkwardly long time we sat there and my father shouting inappropriate comments in hopes of destroying what little composure we had. we decided it was time to leave. as we left though the boy open the window to say bye to us and watched us go.

unfortunately we have no photos of him, nor do we no his name or age.

Anyways to get to the point of this post; I was listening to the radio to day and this song came on that reminded me of him. song link below \/

note: replace the 'her' lyrics with 'him' and it will make more sense

Happy birthday to me!

So, If you cannot tell I am completely and utterly obsessed the show called Arrow
staring Stephen Amell and Emily Bett.
Since season 5 of Arrow premieres Wednesday, October 5, 2016 8|7c.
I thought it quite appropriate to celebrate that and my birthday. Thus inspiring me to make the cake for my party Arrow themed.

Arrow Season 5 trailer:

How I made it:

The arrows
  • For the 'shaft' of the arrow I took 3 wooden skewers and painted them with liquid green food color.
  • For the 'Fletching's' I used a ruler to draw out the shape I wanted on cardstock. Cut it out and traced 3 more (1 extra just in case). Then I took Dark green duck tape, covering the cardstock and taping them on the back to the 'shafts'.
The cake:
  • The bottom half of the cake is a single layer off 9"x13" yellow cake.
  • The top circle half is a single layer of 8" round chocolate cake.
  • It's frosted with white vanilla butter cream and piped with Green vanilla butter cream.
If you have any questions please ask, I'd be happy to answer.

yours truly

So this is a drawing I did of Mark Luckenbill (right) he's given me a lot of inspiration and hope for my dreams. He's so talented and handsome. Here's the link to his cover of 'Kick the dust up' - Luke Bryan > https://www.facebook.com/MarkLuckenbill/videos/847518705342181/
I absolutely love small town country singers. Mark is from Reading, PA, which is one of the reasons I think I love him so much.

Easy wall art

So this is just  some doodles I did with ink pen.
I wrote out the lyrics to a song in bubble letters.
Then filled them in with colors.
But its an easy way of expressing your self.

This song is "People Like Us" by Kelly Clarkson.

To finish off this project just add a photo frame and hang on your wall.

Flower (poem)

(My photo)

"Flower"

I can be fragile, delicate, strong, pretty,

Or thorny all the same things can be a flower.

It just depends on the day.

Sometimes I'll be sweet and dainty like a lily.

And sometimes I'll make your nose cringe like a trillium.

Sometimes you words may wilt me like a week without rain.

I may be frail but let me not kid you,

Get on my bad side and I might be a rose looking all sweat and innocent

But if you try to touch me, my thorns will draw blood.

Whichever side you may come to face

Just know that nature's aren't perfect and neither am I.

Thinking alone (poem)

When I'm alone I tend to think

I think about the things that I loathe
I think about the things that I hate.
And...
Their mostly all about me

Im sitting here in silence wondering why
Or how I get by without dying

I judge my self worth while thinking about all the bad things that I've done
And all the mistakes that I've made

The silence is slowly killing me

I Wonder about the people that are no longer my life
And what I could have done to keep them from leaving

Some of them I miss
Some of them i don't
But...
Being alone breaks me

When I break to the point beyond repair

I get thrown away and put in a can
like yesterdays trash cause nobody cares

I try to be brave and save everyone else from there problems

But I am still slowly dying
And nobody knows because I do not show
My bruises my wounds or my internal bleeding

When I'm alone I'm left with my thoughts

Thoughts of my past and of my future

My past forever haunting me
And my future forever bothering me.

 Please don't leave me alone

Earthy Dessert

Hello everyone !
What I have for you today day is a delicious Chocolate and gummy worm treat.

I call it Chocolate environment

(Disclaimer): I do not claim to have invented it I'm sure its been done before in similar ways. I need a dessert to take to my earth science class and I couldn't think of anything more earthy than gummy worms and chocolate mud.

Chocolate Environment

Serves: 8          Prep time: 30 mins

For this recipe you will need:

Food:

2 - boxes of chocolate pudding mix (serving size 6)
1 -  8oz tube of frozen whip cream (cool whip is what I used) should be thawed
1 - bag of gummy worms ( at least a dozen in the bag)
1- package of Oreos
1- mini chocolate chips (optional)
3 - cups of milk

Containers:

8 - plastic 9oz party cups
1- mixing bowl

step one: Crush the cookies;
A) Take Oreos and open them up and peel out the cream.(you wont need the cream filling for this dessert.)
B) Place the cookies into a ziplock bag use a rolling pin to crush them to desired size.

step two: Make the chocolate filling;
A) Using a mixer, mix together the 2 boxes of chocolate pudding with 3 cups of milk. mix until it begins to thicken.
B) Once mixed well add in the tube of whip cream until everything is evenly mixed.
step three: Put together the dessert;
A) Lay out the cups out and put 1-2 teaspoons of cookie in the bottom of each cup.
B) Fill each cup half up with chocolate filling
C) Stick in 1-3 gummy worms in each cup.
D) Making sure the gummy worms stick out continue to fill the cups almost to the top.
E) Top off the cups with more 2-3 teaspoons of cookie and add the mini coco chips if you have them.

F) Get a spoon and Eat!

Viola!  and Enjoy!

MUG CAKE!

Hey everyone so if your anything like me you love chocolate, and sometimes crave it, so here is
one of my best solutions to keep the cravings at bay.

Chocolate Mug Cake

Dry Ingredients:

All- purpose flour -  ¼ Cup

Baking Powder - ¼ Tsp

Cocoa powder (unsweetened) - 2 Tbsp

Granulated sugar - 2 Tbsp

Salt - 1/8 Tsp

Wet ingredients:

Hazelnut chocolate spread - 1 ½ -2 Tbsp

Vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp

Milk - ¼ cup

Microwave time:               Servings:

2 minutes                             1 person

Instructions:

In 1 standard size mug mix together all of the wet and dry ingredients. Be sure to mix well or your cake will cook funny and have dry powdery spots. Once mixed well place into microwave for approximately 2 minutes. You may need to change the amount of time it’s in the microwave, depending on the microwave. Some tend to heat hotter than others.

Note:
To save time later make up snack size baggies and fill them with the dry ingredients. Store in a dry container with a card in it telling you what wet ingredients you need and cook time.

Cute applique cross-body bag

I appliqued this flow pattern onto the front of the bag which is dual color pink front chevron back w/ black strap.
Duck Tape Captain America Poster

I made this poster using white, blue, and red duck tape. there are about 360 little triangles on it. since this photo has been taken I have added glow in the dark letters to the center reading " Captain". this is a fun and easy way to add color to a room.
